Craft House Projects and Updates

Santa!!! I KNOW HIM!

Christmas is only a few days away and yes, I’m doing some last minute stitching! Are you still working on Christmas crafts just days before the big day, too? If so you aren’t alone!!!

I really wanted a fun kitchen hand towel to add to my collection for Christmas. This Santa jumped out to me as I was shopping so I had to have it. The designs comes in several sizes, too! Even 4×4 hoop friendly!!

I picked up this design from Creative Fabrica. This site has so many amazing embroidery designs, sewing patterns and SVG’s!!

I chose a black hand towel since the design is features Santa’s beard. Super White and Imperial Red were the perfect choice for this project! Of course I used my Fil-Tec Bobbins!

I’ve stitched on these towels for several years now and I’m so impressed the quality. Even after several washes the towel still looks new. You can order these cotton towels on Amazon.

Halloween Hand Towel

Hand towels in the kitchen are a must at my house and yes; they need to be special! This week I stitched out some spooky Halloween towels. We LOVE Halloween so these were a must have for me! Look at those thread colors!! WOW! I think Shadow might be my new go to for a “Black” color. I love that it’s not to dark and goes so well with this towel.

It’s Spooky Season!

Let’s talk about thread for a minute. This towel was 15,915 stitches!!! Holy cow that’s a lot!!! Here at BCH we carry Glide thread for many reasons and after stitching out this towel I’m reminded of why I switched my personal thread to Glide. NO THREAD BREAKS!!! Glide is made by Fil-Tec right here in the USA. They have a massive variety in threads and colors. I personally was so happy with this thread It had to be our main thread line here at Boxer Craft House! When you all hear me gushing about this thread that’s why… 15,915 stitches and NOT.A.SINGLE.THREAD.BREAK. Don’t forget we also carry Fil-Tec Bobbins!!

It’s Spooky Season design can be found at Design Bundles. If you aren’t a Plus member you are missing out on some amazing designs. At this time Plus members have access to 3,613 embroidery designs and they add more frequently! I’ve been a Plus member for a few years now and I LOVE the selection, service and variety of other crafts they offer.

I’ve stitched on these towels for several years now and I’m so impressed the quality. Even after several washes the towel still looks new. Here are the newest colors I’ve added to my collection. Charcoal and Ivory are great colors for the Fall! You can pick these up and other colors on Amazon.

Buffalo Plaid Makes AWESOME Christmas Ornaments!

Buffalo Plaid is also great for Christmas ornaments!!! I just love the way this turned out. With 19 different colors to choose from you’ll be able to match anyone’s décor! 😁 I used Fiery Red Buffalo to make this cutie! I think these little ornaments are great for those that may not have a lot of room, have pets or just want something that isn’t breakable. Whip up some of these for a mini Christmas tree for the office, nursing home or classroom!

Design currently on sale 25% off!!! Includes two sizes. This is the large version (4×4 hoop friendly)

Check out our amazing selection of Buffalo Plaid! These are a few of my favorite colors. We currently have 19 colors available!

Pretty thread colors are a must!! For this project I used Battleship and Imperial Red.

Trick or Treat

Autumn is coming which means several holidays are just around the corner! Here at BCH we LOVE Halloween!! We go all out with decorating our home and of course hand out lots of candy and treats. We live in a really large neighborhood so we see a lot of kids and parents. That can mean germs of course! I found these adorable hand sanitizer holders from In the Hoop by Sher and I had to make a few. Hand sanitizer has become the norm for many people; especially in the Fall and Winter months. My kids have sanitizer hanging on their backpacks and I keep one on my purse. I love to change them for the seasons. This little Spider one is perfect for September and October!

I made these with our Metallic Stardust vinyl. I love this vinyl since it’s super easy to cut, durable and look at those rich colors!!! Metallic Stardust is available in 15 gorgeous colors. Below are the two I used for these Little Spider Hand Sanitizer Holders.

As always with all of my projects I use Glide embroidery thread. Black, Cool Grey 7 and White the colors I used.

Hardware I used 1″ Swivel Hooks.

I was very impressed with how these stitched out! I’m certain I’ll be making many more of these Hand Sanitizer Holders very soon. Make sure to check out In the Hoop by Sher. This shop has so many wonder in the hoop projects!

Taco Pouch

I woke up this morning with a million things on my mind. Sewing, restock, future BCH plans, etc.. I knew I wanted to get back into my craft room and finish some projects that I had started yesterday. I printed this Taco Pouch from Riley Blake several weeks ago. I wanted to try this with our PFL. I was able to make that work. Yay! Things I learned doing this project:

A. Curved zippers are tricky and take lots of patience. Mine is nowhere near perfect.

2. I need more sewing practice.

D. Trying new things might be scary, but this is how we learn.

Pictured is the medium taco pouch. It’s a free download on Riley Blake Designs. Did you know we carry lots of RB fabrics?

I made this with the following materials (click on each to view in our shop):

Exterior: Paisley Flowers Rainbow Flowers

Interior: RB Yellow Swiss Dot

Zipper tape: Black #5 zipper tape with silver coil

Zipper Pull: Roller Skate zipper pull (BCH exclusive pull) in silver

Are you crafting today? Did you catch my silly movie joke? 😎

We would love to have you follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

Halloween Is Coming!! Are You Ready?

Glow in the dark vinyl is all the rage right now! So many awesome possibilities! I’ve had so much fun stitching out spooky things that I had to share them with you all.

Boo Ghost Applique

Check out this cute ghost applique from our friends over at Cherry Bomb Shoppe. This design was so easy and fun to stitch out. I decided to put this on a towel for my kitchen. He’s going to be super cute hanging on the oven handle. It will be a fun surprise when the lights go out as he GLOWS IN THE DARK!!! Eek so much fun!!

The supplies I used to make this awesome project can be found right here!

I used our Glide Thread Halloween Bundle. This bundle includes 6 different thread colors. I also used Super White Glide for the outline of my ghost. I used a Cutaway Stabilizer on my towel.

For the Ghost I used our White Glow in the Dark Vinyl. We have several colors of our Glow in the Dark in stock. They are available in sheets and rolls.

For the banner I used our Sparkles line to create the pop of color. Our Sparkles line is a sealed glitter canvas. It’s machine washable and holds up to satin stitches. The Sparkles line is my go to for several projects. With over 60 different colors to choose from you’ll surely find a perfect color for any project. Here are the colors I used to make my towel.

When I made my Boo towel, I used a kitchen towel I had on hand, but I’ve since been using these really nice Cotton Craft Towels from Amazon. They are available in a variety of colors and stitch out like a dream. They are soft and wash well, too.
